Switching from pupperoni and gross non weight conscious food, Purina’s Beneful “Healthy Weight” has literally dropped the pounds. Analogous to switching from McDonalds and potatochips to Subway and apples, eating better has trimmed her waist and added energy. Instead of getting fries as the side for your burger, get vegetables.
2. Eat Less
Dogs and people alike, if you burn more calories than you consume, the pounds will start “shedding” off. Instead of two cups, Roxxy gets 1.5. Consider a bank account that rewards you for spending and penalizes you for saving. Spend the calories and reduce the intake or deposits of calories.
3. Exercise more
By constantly begging and giving the sad, but cute look, she has earned herself more runs and trips to the dog park with dad. While swimming is her personal favorite, mentioning the word run or getting the running shoes out generates a level of excitement comparable to none. The excitement disappears early in the run but imagine if we could be as animated as she is about anything.
The result?
More energy, more kisses and more dogs checking her out.
